About The Event

Did you know there are over 650 species of spider in the UK? A fascinating range of colours, sizes and shapes exist. This one day workshop will help you to learn to identify some of the range living here by looking for common characteristics, behaviours and environments.

Lawrence Bee is an ecological consultant and educator. He is a regular tutor on spider identification workshops and courses for the Field Studies Council. He is the author of the Field Studies Council Guide to House and Garden Spiders and the lead author of the recently published Britain’s Spiders – a field guide

Join us for this educational day as Lawrence guides us through some of our native species - a mixture of both theory and practical taking place in the Royal Oak training room and also out on the farm as we search for spiders! Lawrence will be on hand throughout the day to talk us through what we find and help us with where to look!

Tickets include refreshments and transport around the farm - children also welcome.
